Space reservations for the Cal State East Bay's on-campus student apartments, Pioneer Heights, are based upon receipt of the housing license and initial payment, are given on a first-come, first-served basis.
All the apartments are fully furnished two-bedroom apartments, each of which four people share including a full sized kitchen with major appliances, dining area, living room, bathroom, and storage.
The apartment complex also has a laundry and a study room, community room with a TV, a billiards table, a table tennis table, and a kitchen. Housing license agreements are based upon the academic calendar year only, September-June. Summer students wishing to live on campus will be issued a summer license agreement and room assignment. Payments may be made in installments.
Additional information regarding housing costs, installment plans and financial aid is provided in the student housing license agreement packet. There is an application form (link opens in new window) available on the website. Because this facility fills up quickly, it is not always available for new international students.

I-House is a dynamic and diverse residential hall for international and American students. Its mission is to bring together students from countries around the world to have them live and learn together in a challenging and supportive residential community.
Two students share one fully furnished room together and a bathroom with two additional students. It has a study room, computer room, gym, and cafeteria.
It also offers social actives such as movie night, barbecues, etc. A meal plan is provided and resident assistants provide services and support.
