Welcome Cal State East Bay "Pioneer" Alums and Friends

Academic Advising and Career Education (AACE) is proud to provide services to alumni! All graduates are welcome to use our services for free, during the quarter immediately following graduation.  If you will be continuing your education at CSUEB, your services will continue for free as long as you are a regularly matriculated student.

For a nominal annual fee, alumni can have access to all career education services that AACE provides.  The annual fee is prorated on a monthly basis and includes unlimited access to career counseling, the Handshake database, career fairs, and workshops.

Individuals in the following groups are eligible for career education services after paying the applicable fees:

  • Alumni of CSUEB who have earned at least a bachelor's degree and are in good standing with the University (remember, the first quarter immediately following graduation is free!)
  • Alumni of any other CSU who have earned at least a bachelor's degree

If interested in our services, the  Alumni Registration Form will provide detailed information about eligibility and costs.

AACE offers career counseling and career assessments to assist you in career exploration and job search strategies.  You must meet with an AACE career counselor prior to taking an assessment.  After taking the assessment, a follow-up appointment is required for the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

Access to Handshake will allow you to browse job and internship postings, upcoming career workshops, fairs, and other events.

From critiquing resumes and cover letters to career exploration and grad school applications, our trained counselors are here to help.  For appointment information, please call AACE at 510-885-3621.

  • Career and Internship Fairs
AACE hosts three on-campus career fairs each year and registered alumni are granted complimentary access to all three events.
  • On-Campus Interviewing
On-Campus Interviews (OCI) provides you with the opportunity to interview with employers on campus, in the AACE office.
