B.A. in Anthropology

Student Learning Outcomes

Students graduating with a B.A. in Anthropology from Cal State East Bay will

  • be familiar with the basic schools of anthropological thought in all four academic sub-fields of the discipline;
  • be able to carry out basic sociocultural (ethnographic), archaeological, or osteological research;
  • be familiar with the cultures of a particular region of the world;
  • be able to analyze social and cultural phenomena drawing on holistic, multidimensional frameworks and on global comparative references; and
  • be able to express information clearly in written and oral communication.
