Employer Relations

Invest in talent. Impact your organization.

Academic Advising and Career Education (AACE) provides services for employers to connect with the students and alumni of Cal State East Bay and to recruit talented and diverse candidates for full time/part-time employment and internship opportunities. There are numerous recruitment and branding services available to impact your organization's hiring needs and goals.

RECRUITMENT SERVICES

2018/2019 RECRUITMENT CALENDAR coming soon

Thank you for your interest in recruiting Cal State East Bay students and alumni. The campus is constantly progressing with changes to stay current and original. More career fairs and recruiting resources are available during our 2018/2019 academic year.

Cal State East Bay uses the Handshake platform for employers to increase their talent engagement efforts. Please note that Handshake accounts are approved for companies, non-profit, and government organizations that offer paid internships or jobs within California and nearby states. We do not post jobs from individuals and households.

Please review the employer standards and policies for recruitment practices at CSUEB, prior to posting a job or internship. Internship postings should depict how your program offers a structured, supervised, and practical experiential learning opportunity for the student or recent graduate. The posting also needs to include the skills and the industry knowledge that the intern will develop.

This service allows employers to conduct interviews on the Cal State East Bay Hayward Campus. Request a date through Handshake to interview students.

CAMPUS BRANDING

Career and Internship Fairs

An extremely effective way for you to recruit. Thousands of students attend our general and speciality career fairs every year so you could meet a vast number of students and recent graduates in various majors with interest in internships and employment opportunities, and in exploring careers, organizations, and industries.

Campus Tabling

If you would like to table on campus to promote open job opportunities, please submit your request through Handshake. Your request needs to be made at least four weeks (30 days) in advance. Tabling is allowed during the fall and spring semesters, and starts the first week after the general career fair and ends the week before finals.

Here are some tips to table successfully at CSUEB:

  • Arrive early to account for parking and set-up
  • Create an attractive and inviting display and signs that you are hiring now
  • Wear your company’s apparel and name badge
  • Stand frequently throughout the entire time to appear approachable
  • If several students come to your table at once, acknowledge everybody
  • Employer Partnership Program

AACE has many ways to help employers promote job and internship openings, build their brand, and access the talent at CSUEB. The Employer Partnership Program is an exclusive opportunity to maximize your organization’s recruiting effectiveness by increasing your campus visibility through various methods.

Information Sessions

Information Sessions allow employers to conduct presentations about their organization for students to learn about company culture, hiring procedures, career and internship positions, and other employment opportunities. Request for an Information Session should be made through Handshake
