Admitted students should activate your NetID to access the University computer network, and to set up your Horizon e-mail to establish official communications with the University.
At Cal State East Bay, your personal University identification number is called a NetID. You will use your NetID to access online services including MyCSUEB and your Cal State East Bay Horizon e-mail.
After submitting an application for admission, you will receive your NetID by mail with instructions for setting your personal password. Please keep your NetID and password in a safe place. For assistance or questions about NetID or resetting passwords, please visit the NetID page online or contact the firstname.lastname@example.org.
After you have activated your NetID, you can set up your Horizon E-mail account. All students receive a Horizon student e-mail account. This e-mail account is where important University communication will be sent about your academic status, classes, fees, financial aid, and more. In addition, this is the e-mail address professors will use to communicate with you. It is your responsibility to check your Horizon e-mail regularly for official University notices and updates.
You can log in to your Horizon e-mail account with your NetID and password. Access and learn to use your Horizon student e-mail at http://horizon.csueastbay.edu/.
