The Bay Advisor, a product from the Education Advisory Board (EAB), is a tool for faculty and professional advisors to identify and track students towards a timely graduation. This student advising platform enables advisors to search for an individual student and groups of students, communicate through email, schedule appointments and review student success markers, including missed core major classes, failed coursework, repeated coursework and university requirements. The Bay Advisor provides a versatile platform that drastically reduces the need to pull and analyze individual transcripts. This platform uses academic analytics and real-time academic engagement data to help support advisors work with students. Good quality academic advising is especially important now with the University’s transition to semesters in Fall 2018.
As we continue to transition to our enhanced advising platform, Undergraduate Studies will continue to provide guides and tips on how to best utilize the many features of The Bay Advisor. To get started, please read through the Advisor Guide to familiarize yourself with many essential features for your advising purposes.
Please take a look at the Bay Advisor Quick Guide for an abbreviated version of the Advisor Guide highlighting the main features an advisor would utilize.
