Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI)
CSUEB Implements
"The
Accessible Technology Initiative" A Message From our
President
The Project
Cal
State East Bay has embraced the Accessible Technology Initiative
(ATI) presented in a Coded Memorandum from the
Chancellor's Office
in October of 2006. CSU East Bay responded by assigning
leadership to guide our campus through the planning and
implementation of the ATI to be completed by 2011. Coded memorandum
AA-2007-04
(PDF) titled "Access to Electronic and Information Technology
for Persons with Disabilities" provides detailed information
about this initiative.
The
implementation of the ATI insures that faculty and staff will
provide
-
accessible course materials
-
design accessible web sites, and
-
purchase universally designed and accessible products
The
success of the ATI at CSUEB requires everyone’s support and
participation in working smarter and more universally. The ATI
Planning Team will ensure that plans are created and implemented
with the necessary support and resources to achieve our task.
This web site is designed to provide everyone with information and resources about the ATI. If you have any suggestions or want to contribute to the web site please contact: Jean Wells at jean.wells@csueastbay.edu.
The
Leadership
The CSUEB ATI
Planning Team has been meeting twice a month since November
2007 to develop plans for implementing the ATI on the CSUEB
campuses.
