Department of Biological Sciences Resources

The Department of Biological Sciences is part of the College of Science which is housed in 201,000-square-foot North and South Science buildings. These two connected buildings include many specialized teaching laboratories, general purpose personal computers, and specialized computing facilities.The Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Engineering, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science, Nursing and Health Sciences, Physics, and Psychology each maintain a number of well-equipped laboratories for undergraduate instruction. Laboratory classes are limited to 24, 20, 16, or 12 students, depending on the discipline. In addition to the normal complement of laboratory equipment, students in the College of Science have access to three modern teaching and research core facilities.
