Versions

Overview

Versions also known as "version control" is a system to record changes to an asset(eg. page, file or folder). Versions are used to recall the changes made from a previous version. Every time a content editor performs a "Submit" action on a page, file or folder on Cascade CMS, a version is created. Cascade CMS stores up to the last 15 versions for each asset.

Versions act as a safety net for a file like a backup of the file.  For example, when a page asset is inadvertently changed and it was an accident.  You can either edit the page back or revert it back to the version before it has been edited. Previous version can also be compared before reverting back.
