Domestic Students:

What are the requirements for the MBA Program?

The MBA Program has two minimum requirements. The applicant must possess a minimum GPA if 2.5 in their undergraduate coursework, or the last 90 quarter/60semester units. The applicant must also rank in at least the twentieth percentile on both the Verbal and Quantitative sections of the GMAT.

Can my work experience waive the GMAT?

Candidates with 5 or more years meaningful work experience may be considered for GMAT waiver. (Meaningful work experience typically requires a Bachelors degree). Suitability for the program for those seeking a GMAT waiver will be determined by an interview.

How do I raise my GPA to meet your requirements?

You may raise your GPA by taking additional courses at either a Community College or a University.

When are the MBA courses offered?

MBA Courses are offered Monday through Thursday in evenings from 6:30pm-10:30pm.

Are there online classes I can take?

We do not currently offer online courses.

Can I test out of Math and Statistics?

No, you may not test out of either Math or Statistics. These courses must be taken before or as soon as possible after you are admitted to the program.

How much time does it take to complete the MBA Program?

Students may complete the program in as little as one year or take up to five years. The majority of students complete the program in two years.

May I take more than two courses a quarter?

Yes, you may take up to four courses per quarter.

Are summer courses offered?

No, summer courses are currently not offered.

How many hours outside of the classroom do I need to put in?

It may vary by subjects and students. In general 3 to 5 study hours to every class contact hours are expected per week. Each 3 hour course requires 9 to 15 hours of study hours to do well.

Are courses offered on the Concord campus?

MBA Courses are not offered on the Concord campus. All courses will be held on the Main Campus in Hayward.

International Students:

May I have conditional admission to your program?

No, unfortunately we do not offer conditional admissions into any of our Graduate Programs.

What are the TOEFL and IELTS scores that I need to obtain?

The TOEFL score varies, depending on what type of exam you take. For the paper-based exam, the minimum score is 550, for the computer based exam, the minimum score is 213 and for the internet based exam is 79.

The minimum score for the IELTS is 6.5.

What are the requirements for the program?

My GPA is low but I have worked for several years in the industry, will this offset this requirement?

Work in the industry cannot waive any of the requirements for the program. We advise you to take courses at a community college to raise your GPA.
