New Student Orientation Information/Sessions

All newly admitted international students must attend a New Student Orientation. When you come to your orientation, please bring the following with you:

  • I-20/DS-2019
  • Passport
  • A copy of your electronic I-94 (available from www.cbp.gov/i94)

**Please remember that F-1 students who have an initial I-20 are not allowed to enter the country more than 30 days prior to the start date on their I-20**

Fall 2017 NEW STUDENT ORIENTATIONS

Freshman Orientation

Registration for Fall 2017 is available on MyCSUEB. Listed below are all Freshman Orientation Programs available at the Hayward campus. You can sign up for one of the sessions. 

  • Session 1: Friday, June 16 (One-Day Program)
  • Session 2: Thursday, June 29 - Friday, June 30 (Two-Day Overnight Program)
  • Session 3: Friday, July 7 (One-Day Program)
  • Session 4: Thursday, July 13 - Friday July 14 (Two-Day Overnight Program)
  • Session 5: Friday, July 28 (One-Day Program)
  • Session 6: Friday, Sep 15 (One-Day Program)

Transfer Student Orientation

Registration for Fall 2017 is now available on MyCSUEB. Listed below are all Transfer Orientation Programs available at the Hayward campus. Registration will be available based on capacity of each program.

  • Session 1: Wednesday, June 21: College of Education and Allied Studies majors, College of Science majors & undeclared majors
  • Session 2: Friday, June 23: College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences majors & undeclared majors
  • Session 3: Friday, July 21: College of Business and Economics majors & undeclared majors
  • Session 4: Thursday, Sep 14: Any transfer students who missed the earlier orientation
  • Online Transfer Orientation: Available starting June 15

Graduate Student Orientation

Sign Up for Orientation

You will be able to register for orientation on your MyCSUEB account if you meet the following criteria: 

1. Admitted for Fall 2017

2. Classified as F-1 or J-1 with the University

3. Have submitted your Intent to Register (SIR)

Fees

**Orientation fees for students are not refundable. The Mandatory Orientation Fee for freshmen ($110.00) and transfers ($35.00) will be automatically charged to your student account, once we have verified that you are enrolled courses for the quarter. The charge will appear on your MyCSUEB financial account.**

If you miss orientation, stop by CIE and ask for an Orientation Handout Packet! It will be your responsiblity to read the F-1 Student Handbook and ask the advisors any questions.
