A pool of applicants is being sought by several departments for possible temporary teaching positions in the College of Science, Cal State East Bay, for one or more quarters of the 2017-18 academic year. Lecturers currently in the 2016-17 temporary pool must submit a written intent to remain in the 2017-18 temporary pool along with an updated CV. Applications will be kept on file from Summer Quarter 2017 through Spring Quarter 2018, or until hiring for the Spring Quarter is complete.
Openings will be filled from the pool of applicants before the start of each term. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay include courses at the Hayward, Concord and Online campuses. In addition, employment is contingent on course enrollment and budget. Part-time lecturer positions teaching major and non-major courses in Biology including Introductory Biology, Genetics, Developmental Genetics, Hematology, Microbiology and Human Physiology and Anatomy. A Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences or related field is required for these positions. However, for certain non-major courses only, the Ph.D. requirement may be waived.
