Admissions FAQs

EOP at Cal State East Bay only accepts applications for the fall semester of your incoming year. EOP does not admit freshmen or transfers during Spring or Summer semesters. If you are transferring from another CSU campus as a non-EOP student, you are ineligible for EOP.
Apply for EOP via online application through CAL STATE APPLY website and
Select "Yes" to the following question located in the Supporting Document Tile: 
Do you want to apply to the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)? 

Once applied to EOP via the CAL STATE APPLY and you must complete the EOP application and two recommendations by the deadline dates of January 15th for the EOP Applicant Form and January 31st to submit two (2) letters of recommendation. Documents submitted after these deadline dates will not be accepted. 

If you have received information about your Net ID activation, you can use you activated Net ID and password to log into MyCSUEB to view the status of your EOP documents on your To Do List.

If you have not received your NetID you can log into CAL STATE APPLY  to view your recommendation status.

Please email eopadmissions@csueastbay.edu and include your full name, NetID (if available), date of birth (if NetID is not available), and a short explanation for you cancellation. We will process your cancellation request in 8-10 working days.
No. EOPS at the community college system and EOP at the CSU system are two different programs. Therefore, EOPS students must complete an online application via Cal State Apply: Supporting Documents  to apply for EOP like all other applicants.
Yes. AB 540 students must complete the Dream Act Application in addition to all EOP documents.
No. EOP is only for undergraduate students applying for the first time to Cal State East Bay.
No. EOP status is determined at the time of admission. Once you are admitted EOP, you remain EOP until you complete your undergraduate degree and meet EOP contract agreements.
No. EOP applications and status decisions can only be made at the time of admission. If you are looking for a program like ours, we suggest that you look into the EXCEL Program.

Admitted students will be notified by email of their acceptance beginning in March each year.  To secure their EOP seat they must accept their admission by the deadline we provide on the acceptance email.  Failure to do so will result in their seat being given to the next available student eligible for the program.
