How to Pay Your Tuition and Fees at Cal State East Bay

The following provides information on how and when to pay your University tuition and fees. Although you do not have to pay fees when you enroll in classes, fees are due by the payment deadlines or your classes may be subject to disenrollment.

Beware of the back-to-school scam of anyone requiring you to pay non-existent taxes, such as a "Federal Student Tax." There is no such tax. IRS encourages students, parents, and schools to stay alert. People should be on the lookout for IRS impersonators calling students and demanding that they pay immediately a fake "federal student tax." If you receive any such calls, hang up and do not give out any info. Call toll free the Treasury Inspector General Tax Administration (TIGTA) at 800-366-4484 to report it. Tuition and fees are subject to change

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Tuition and fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed tuition and fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
