Human Resources
The Human Resources Department, under the direction of the Human
Resources Manager, provides services in employment hiring and terminations,
compensation plan and benefits administration, employee relations
and mediation, workers compensation and all leave of absences, personnel
investigations and environmental health and safety compliance for
all Foundation departments and activities.
The mission of the Human Resources Department is to support the
goals and challenges of the California State University, East Bay
Foundation by providing services which promote a work environment
characterized by fair treatment of all employees, open communications,
personal accountability, involvement, organizational alignment, diversity
and high performance. This is achieved by maintaining compliance
with employment laws and government regulations; providing management
and employee training and developing policies and procedures which
support the organization.
In 2005, the Foundation employed approximately 30 Career employees
in the Foundation's core business operation, 85 benefited grant employees,
400 intermittent/temporary non-benefited employees, and 200 student
employees.
The Human Resources department has sustained the infrastructure
that effectively recruits, selects, develops, and retains the very
best employees our community has to offer. We are dedicated to partnering
with all Foundation departments and activities to maximize the potential
of our greatest assest - our employees, while maintaining perspective
during times of transition.
