Aspects of Energy

Energy can be seen as that which brings about any kind of change. The specific type of energy and its consequences studied varies across eachof these three disciplines. Within Psychology 2004, there is a wide variation in the type of energy considered: sensation and perception, social psychology, and individual differences. In Physics 2005, energy resources, production, and consumption will be addressed. In Geology 2100, the focus will be on the type of energy involved in transforming the earth and the types of energy from the earth used by humans.

Psychology 2004- General Psychology - An introduction to the scientific study of basic processes underlying human and animal behavior; sensation and perception, learning and thinking, motivation, and emotion.

Physics 2005 -The Science of Energy - A descriptive course covering energy rsources, production, and consumption in the 21st century. Energy input and output of physical systems such as household applicances and modes of transportation. Not for physics major credit.

Geology 2100 - Physical Geology- Nature and distribution of earth materials, the processes by which the materials ar formed and altered, and the nature and development of the landscape. One Saturday or Sunday field trip.
