Healthier Living Healthier Living requires understanding the basic components of life, how the body works, and how relationships with others influence our health. Explore chemical, biological, and psychological aspects of health and learn to think, write, talk and make decisions about healthier living. You must be taking Math 950 or qualified for baccalaureate-level math/statistics to enroll in this cluster. The three discipline courses are: Chemistry 1605- Basic Chemistry for Healthier Living - A chemical perspective for helahtier lving. Basic inorganic chemistry: an introduction to atomic and molecular structure. Biology 2011 - Anatomy and Physiology - An integrated approach to health through the essential concepts of human physiiology and anatomy. Analysis of skeletal, muscular, sensorimotor, cardiovascular and respiratory systems. OR - if you are an Engineering major you would take Engineering 2060 - Materials Science - Structure of matter. Physical and mechanical properties of materials, including metals, alloys, ceramics, insulating materials, semiconductors, super semiconductors, and polymers. Equilibrium diagrams. Heat treatments, material selection, and corrosion phenomena. Psychology 1005- General Psychology for Healthier Living - An introduction to the scientific study of basic processes underlying human and animal behavior, sensationa nd perception, learning and thinking, motivation and emotion. Emphasis on psychological aspects of health. Updated
