Return Letter
Below is a copy of the email sent to students informing them
that the computer is due for check-in and how to proceed with the
process. It also outlines the charges should pieces be missing or
the computer not checked in at all.

We hope that you have found the laptop computer you were loaned
for «Quarter_Name_Full» useful in your educational endeavor.
It is now time for the computers to be returned so students who
are eligible for Next Quarter can benefit from the experience. Please
follow the directions below to turn in your computer.
- 1. Make an appointment to return your computer. Walk-ins will
NOT be processed. It will take approximately 10 minutes to check
in your computer. Appointments will be available until 4:30pm
on «End_Date». Call 885-4152 to make an appointment.
The STSC closes at 4:45pm on Friday, «End_Date».
- Make a backup copy of the files you have saved on the hard
disk prior to coming to the appointment if you have work you would
like to save.
- Remove any software or work you have placed on the computer.
- You must return your laptop to the Student Technology Service
Center, in Library Learning Commons,
at your appointment time.
Bring your student ID and everything
you checked out as indicated on the checkout form
you signed. Bring the form as well.
(Please note: The person who checked-out the laptop,
must be the person checking-in the laptop, and your name must
match the name on the check-out form.)
During the check in process we will have a short survey for you
to fill out. We are interested in your thoughts and suggestions
about the laptop loaner program.
REMEMBER: YOUR LAPTOP COMPUTER MUST BE RETURNED BY 4:30PM
ON FRIDAY. If the laptop and/or any items are not returned
by this time your student record will be locked and your state taxes
may be attached until the replacement cost for the computer has
been paid or the computer returned.
If you have any questions about the check in process please feel
free to contact the Student Technology Service Center at 885-2658.
If you are eligible for a laptop during the Next Quarter, you will
receive an email indicating when it can be picked up. You will not
be able to keep the laptop during quarter break as we perform maintenance
on the computers during this time.
