UIT has primary responsibility for advising the CIO on matters of university policy and planning related to:

-Infrastructure
-Service
-Support
-Security
-Innovation
The work of the committee includes developing recommendations for updating CSUEB's IT Strategic Plan in consultation with the Provost Council and the Academic Senate, and in alignment with the University's strategic goals and objectives. Policy and planning recommendations are submitted to the Cabinet Technology Steering Committee for approval.
