An announcement only greeting does not allow callers to leave a voice mail message and requires a specific type of mailbox. Submit request through: www.csueastbay.edu/servicedesk
Once voice mailbox has been configured by Telephone Services, proceed through the initial voice mailbox set-up.
When a user needs to send a single message to a specified group of people without re-entering the same mailbox numbers each time a message is sent for that group. With this voice mail system a unique number must be assigned in order to set up a distribution list. To request that number, please submit an ITS Service Desk Ticket to: www.csueastbay.edu/servicedesk
PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING SHARED VOICE MAILBOXES (SUB-MAILBOXES)
A standard voice mailbox is only one voice mailbox corresponding to a single telephone number; where as a shared voice mailbox can have multiple voice mailboxes corresponding to a single telephone number.
Shared mailboxes (sub-mailboxes) must be requested through Telephone Services. With this voice mail system, a shared mailbox must be specifically assigned to a user. To request shared mailboxes, the Department Administrator must submit an ITS Service Desk Ticket to: www.csueastbay.edu/servicedesk
Telephone Services will in turn send the department a Shared Mailbox Request Form for each campus telephone number requiring shared mailboxes.
