California State University East Bay is proud to present the first inaugural Invitational String Festival (ISF) on Friday, February 22, 2019 in the CSUEB University Theatre. A high quality and unique festival experience for your students, the ISF is a valuable educational event for both participants and observers.
Each participating string ensemble will perform on the stage of the CSUEB Theatre. Each ensemble will participate in a clinic with Dr. Gaudry. After lunch, all string ensembles will combine to form a massed ensemble conducted by Dr. Gaudry on a pre-selected piece. The day will conclude with a concert and will be finished by 3:00pm.
Registration forms are electronic and should be submitted by the string ensemble director no later than Friday, November 2, 2018. In addition, directors are asked to submit a recording of their current ensemble showcasing at least two (2) contrasting selections. Please send recordings to email@example.com either as an email attachment or an electronic link (Google Drive / Dropbox, etc.), no later than November 2, 2018. The fee for each participating ensemble is $250. Payment of festival fees MUST be received by Friday, December 7, 2018.
