Every year the Department of Music offers courses in Audio Production.
MWF 1:20 - 2:30, 4 Units (Area C), MB 2525
This course covers the fundamentals of audio production including basic concepts of sound, microphone types and techniques, and low-level usage of digital audio workstation software like Apple Logic and Pro Tools. The course includes projects in composing and recording songs as part of its grading, along with more conventional tests and exams. In the Fall and Winter quarters, this course is only open to students in the Beats, Physics, and the Mind freshman cluster.
