Pioneers Drop Five-Set Match at Monterey Bay

SEASIDE, Calif. - The Pioneer women's volleyball team lost to Cal State Monterey Bay in five sets. The scores were 21-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 12-15. The Pioneers scored the last four points including a pair of Katie Glomb service aces to win the fourth set.

In the fifth set, the Pioneers closed the gap 13-11 on a Roxanne Neely kill. Cal State Monterey Bay recorded a kill to win the fifth set and the match. Sukhjit Athwal had 15 kills followed by Brianna Bryant with 11 attacks. Glomb had three service aces and was outstanding on defense with 19 digs.
