• Want to know which veggies build strong teeth, how to avoid infection when getting a tattoo and top tips for safe summer travel? Visit the new CSUEB wellness blog for weekly healthy living features and insights written by the health promotion professionals and student interns at Student Health and Counseling Services. Follow the blog on Twitter or like it on Facebook.

• Theatre and Dance wraps up the first of two Highlands Summer Theatre performances with presentations of “An Evening with Lorca, Shepard and Chaikin” at 2 p.m. Aug. 6 and 7. Its second show, "Secrets EXposed," will be performed at 8 p.m. Aug. 4, 5, 6, 12 and 13. All seats are $4 Aug. 4. Check out details online.

• Volunteer to help showcase CSUEB’s academic programs, faculty, co-curricular offerings and the scenic Hayward campus Sept. 19 or Sept. 20 at the 2011 Bay Area CSU Counselors Conference, expected to draw nearly 1,000 high school and community college counselors. Find more information online, and click on Volunteer Sign-up to register for a partial or full shift between 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. with manager approval.
