Transit and parking lot changes ahead at Hayward Campus

  • September 19, 2011

As you make your way to the Hayward campus at the start of fall quarter, expect to encounter a few changes from transit stops to parking lot labels.

In an effort to reduce traffic congestion and better serve the entire campus community, beginning Sept. 19 there will be three transit stops on campus, Enterprise Operations announced. The three transit stops will serve as the AC Transit and CSUEB shuttle stops for the Hayward campus.

A new central stop will be added on Old Hillary Road, directly in front of the Student Services and Administration building.

Two existing stops also will be maintained; one next to Warren Hall and the other near the entrance to the Recreation and Wellness Center and Pioneer Heights student apartments.

In the parking area, two lots will be combined, and the names of three others will be shifted.

Lots H and G will be combined and redesignated as Lot H.

Lot F will be renamed Lot G. Lot E1 will be relabeled as Lot E, while Lot E2 will become Lot F.
