If you've ever considered becoming a preschool teacher, a series of informational meetings over the next three days will give you a chance to learn what is required.
The first meeting is tonight so if you or a friend want to go, act quickly.
- Tuesday, Nov. 1 * 6:30 pm at the Alameda County Public Health Department, 1000 San Leandro Blvd., 3rd Floor (near the San Leandro BART station) in San Leandro
- Wednesday, Nov. 2 * 6:30 pm at Chabot College, 25555 Hesperian Blvd., Building 400, Room 405 in Hayward
- Thursday, Nov. 3 * 6:30 pm, 44000 Old Warm Springs Blvd., in Fremont
The informational meetings will be geared toward explaining how prospects can get the education they need to become more effective and better compensated.
The effort grows out of a collaboration between California State University East Bay, Chabot College and other groups interested in early childhood education. It's funded by a $100,000 grant from the David and Lucille Packard Foundation.
