The Cal State East Bay men’s basketball team has added Tyler Ojanen to the staff of new head coach Gus Argenal. Ojanen had been director of men’s basketball operations at Saint Mary’s College since 2009.
“Tyler is an extremely hard worker with great character and tremendous experience at the highest level,” Argenal stated in a school release. “He has quality recruiting ties on the West Coast and is dedicated to the success of our current student-athletes.”
Ojanen, a native of Phoenix, Ariz., was responsible for managing the Gaels’ youth camps and clinics, overseeing academic progress and assisting with recruiting, team travel, video, and other aspects of the operations.
Ojanen was a two-year starter at guard at California Baptist, after transferring Phoenix College.
