Cal State East Bay set for commencement ceremonies June 14-15

California State University, East Bay will celebrate the graduation of thousands of baccalaureate as well as master’s, credential and other post-graduate students during three separate ceremonies taking place Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15.
The university will use a new format for the 2013 commencements. All post-graduate students of the university’s four colleges – Science; Business and Economics; Education and Allied Studies; and Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences – on the Hayward Campus will receive their diplomas during a ceremony that starts at 5 p.m. June 14 in Pioneer Stadium.
All qualified undergraduates from the four colleges on the Hayward Campus will be presented with their bachelor’s degrees during ceremonies that commence at 10 a.m. June 15. This ceremony also will be held in Pioneer Stadium.
CSUEB’s Hayward Campus is located at 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd.
CSUEB’s Concord Campus will hold its graduation beginning at 6 p.m. June 15 for undergraduate and graduate students who attended classes on that campus. The ceremony will take place at the Boatwright Sports Complex at the Concord Campus, 4700 Ygnacio Valley Road, in Concord.
Admission tickets and parking permits will be required only for those who attend the Saturday morning ceremony on the Hayward Campus.
Kumar Malavalli, entrepreneur and longtime philanthropist for education and other causes, will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree by Cal State East Bay during the university’s June 14 graduate ceremony.
