WALNUT CREEK – Cal State East Bay's Sarah Finlay has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 11-17.

The Reno, Nev. product was on fire offensively as the Pioneers finished 2-0 at the PacWest/CCAA Challange with wins against Dominican (Calif.) and Academy of Art this past weekend.

Finlay scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting in Saturday's 90-51 victory over the Penguins and in the Pioneers 91-83 win over the Urban Knights on Sunday.

In addition to her .778 field goal percentage, the senior guard was stellar from the arc as she sank five-of-seven attempts for a three-point percentage of .714.

On the weekend, Finlay averaged 17 points per game while pulling down 13 rebounds, which included a team-high eight boards on Sunday. She also added five assists and a steal to her weekend totals.
