Cal State East Bay Launches New Brand

Cal State East Bay has launched a branding initiative to raise its profile and strengthen its ties with various audiences. In order to maximize our communications efforts, the university has created a brand book, now accessible on the Cal State East Bay website.

The book contains CSUEB’s brand story, key messages for informing written and verbal communications, nomenclature guidelines for identifying the university, and visual identity standards for the proper use of the university logo, colors, typography and other visual elements.

The brand includes the new tagline, “Rising in the East.” “Rising” speaks to the accomplishments of our faculty, the aspirations of our students, and the strengths of the communities we serve. By explicitly saying “in the East,” we express place in the East Bay and signal to the rest of the region that big things are happening on our side of the bay.

In the book, you’ll find brand identity graphics, including a new signature mark, logo and full name wordmark. It also contains university fonts, a primary color palette and communication templates.
