The Mineral & Gem Society of Castro Valley (MGSCV) will hold their annual Mineral and Gem show at the Newark Pavilion in Newark, California this weekend. Learn about fossils, buy a gem, and bid at the live auction to be held at 3pm on Saturday, March 6th to benefit MGSCV's California State University, East Bay Geology Department Scholarship Fund.
The show is considered by many to be the best Society show in Northern California - if not the entire west coast. Club members, private collectors and dealers fill the Pavilion with many great educational exhibits and demonstrations of the lapidary arts and geology.
