Cal State East Bay swimmer Murphy Wimer set a school record in the 200 individual medley with a winning time of 2 minutes, 12.04 seconds at the Chapman Invitational – 11 seconds off the old record set in 1988 by Julie Radecke.  Johnny Volk, captain of the CSUEB baseball team, pointed out in the CSUEB sports blog that the school record was actually older than Wimer herself.

Wimer and her teammates end their season in Long Beach at the Pacific Coast Swimming Conference Championships Feb 16-19.
