Students, alumni and faculty will be among the performers in the world premier of, “Jump ship mid way & Friend,” March 31-April 3 at the CounterPULSE in San Francisco.

The cast includes Dana DeGuzman, senior in music who lives in Pinole; Chris Gallegos, a junior from El Cerrito studying art; alumni Keith Penney, 2010, physics, from Sacramento; Stacz Sadowski, 1993, theatre and dance, Oakland; Anne-Lise Reusswig, a theatre and dance lecturer, and Eric Kupers, theatre and dance assistant professor, who also directs.

The piece by Kegan Marling and Dandelion Dancetheater is an homage to one of Kupers’ closest friends, Sharon Mussen, who died in December of a brain tumor.

The show investigates the nature of friendship, as told by a diverse ensemble that looks inward to discover hidden longings and ambivalences. The group of collaborating performers include dance, music, theater and design artists with and without disabilities.
