CSUEB alumna Sabrina Rodriguez new anchor for KTXL

Cal State East Bay alumna Sabrina Rodriguez ('05, broadcast journalism) has joined Sacramento's KTXL FOX 40 morning news team as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Rodriguez graduated summa cum laude. While in school, she interned at KTVU FOX Channel 2. Throughout the years, she has been a news anchor and reporter for KCBY-TV in Coos Bay, Oregon, WGGB-TV ABC40 in Springfield, Massachusetts, and KBAK-TV in Bakersfield, CA.

Her awards include an Emmy for "Outstanding Weekend Newscast" in 2009 by the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Academy for Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Rodriguez's ultimate goal is to report for CNN one day.
