CSUEB Concord hosts 2011 environmental sciences summer camp

Registration is now open for the Contra Costa Environmental Sciences Summer Camp for high school students to be held July 25-29 at Cal State East Bay's Concord campus.

Camp features a full variety of experiences and will explore a range of topics including:

— The Delta Eco System

— Wetlands

— Invasive Species

— Water/Wastewater

— Renewable Energy

— Ocean Health & The Bay Delta

— Climate Change & Personal Decision-Making

— Student Teams will also engage in issues-oriented dialogue

Students will conduct research using the latest GPS technology, and working in teams, do a project which concludes in the delivery of a Public Service Announcement (PSA) delivered before a panel of industry.

Students successfully completing the camp will receive one unit of college credit.

The camp is being offered through a collaboration between Chevron and the Contra Costa Economic Partnership.
