CSUEB business grad Diann Valentine is the creative genius behind the star-studded weddings of Usher, Martin Lawrence, Toni Braxton, Kelis, VH1 Basketball Wives’ Jennifer Williams, Lela Rochon, and Boyz II Men crooner Shawn Stockman and more. She is now in final preparations to host and co-executive produce a new show, I Do Over, on WeTV.

It was while attending Skyline High School in Oakland, that Valentine caught wedding fever. Her cousin asked her to help plan her wedding. Valentine discovered that she not only liked the planning process, but was also pretty good. She formed her first company, Memories, before she even graduated high school.

Valentine left the wedding business soon after earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cal State East Bay and moved to Los Angeles.  In less than two years, she was promoted from an assistant position at Warner Home Video to the Director of Worldwide DVD Production with the responsibility of launching the DVD platform in foreign countries.

It was a circuitous route back to her first love, weddings.  Valentine found herself providing wedding and event planning tips on E! News Daily, ABC’s InStyle Celebrity Weddings Special, Entertainment Tonight, CNN, and HGTV as well as doing spreads in Brides Magazine, InStyle, USA Today and Essence.  She also published her first book, Weddings Valentine Style.
