Cal State East Bay alumni Durlynn Anema, B.A., Journalism and Political Science ('68), M.S., School Administration ('77), has recently added another book to her list of publications.

Her latest addition, Hey Mom and Dad, Remember Me, addresses the issues surrounding divorce from an adolescent's perspective. As a family counselor, Anema understands the importance of providing adolescents an empathetic and all-inclusive look at the best ways to handle this difficult situation.

The book targets teens and tweens as well as their parents and families by delving into the normal emotional reactions children may have after experiencing their parent's divorce.

Anema's parents divorced when she was fourteen years old so she understands the trauma that develops. She is a counselor for tweens and teens whose parents have divorced or will divorce -- and has included her advice to them in the book. She is a Board Member for the Valley Community Counseling Services, the author of twelve titles, educator, journalist, and a Susan B. Anthony award winner.
