V-Day performances help stop violence against women, girls

In support of the V-Day global effort to stop violence against women and girls, the CSUEB Department of Theatre and Dance will present "The Vagina Monologues." 

Performances will be at 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, April 20-21 and 27-28, and at 2 p.m. Sundays, April 22 and 29 in the Physical Education Building, room 140, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd., Hayward, 94542.

Performers include Aaliyah Bey, Teresita Brown, Lala Bautista, Katharine Green, Maria Alexandra Ibarra, Francesca Knight, Luann Matthews, Amanda McQuade, Belgica Rodriguez, Elena Spittler, Melanie Sutrathada, Jasmine Williams, students; and Catherine Hull, staff.

The suggested donation of $5 per person may be paid in cash or by check at the door.

Donations will go to Alternatives to Violent Environments (S.A.V.E.) in Fremont, and Building Futures with Women and Children in San Leandro.
