Cal State East Bay alumnus Shannon Carter has over 20 years of startup/turnaround management, corporate development and capital acquisition experience in the software, Internet, telecommunications, mailing/logistics, healthcare and financial services industries. He has scaled 8 early-stage technology companies through high growth and profitable exits.

As an active angel investor and serial entrepreneur, Carter mentors San Francisco based startup and SMB software founders. He also consults hi-tech companies and entrepreneurs through the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Putting his marketing degree from Cal State East Bay to good use, Carter is a co-managing partner with Golden Gate Angels and an active member of US Angel Investors. Golden Gate Angels is quickly gaining momentum as the Bay Area’s premier angel investor group. The group provides access to capital, counsel, and networking resources to early stage companies.

He participates in numerous start-up events around the Bay Area. Most recently, Carter served on the panel of Life 3.0 – Augmented Reality and New Media.
