CSUEB health administration grad appointed director of Alameda County Medical

Varsha Chauhan '03, a physician and graduate of Cal State East Bay's Health Care Administration program, is the new executive director of the system transformation center for Alameda County Medical Center.

Dr. Chauhan will be responsible for ACMC's LEAN initiative, patient experience enhancement, clinical integration and other system-wide initiatives. Prior to joining ACMC, she was chief operating officer for Tri-City Health Center in Fremont, California where she was responsible for working in collaboration with the chief executive officer to manage daily business and clinical operations. In addition, she served as the Project Director of the organization's Electronic Health Records and Enterprise Practice Management initiatives. Dr. Chauhan holds a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from California State University, East Bay.
