The Pioneer softball team landed two players on the 2013 All-California Collegiate Athletic Association teams, which were announced on Wednesday. Taryn Thomas earned second-team honors, while Sara Holdridge received honorable mention recognition.

Thomas, a senior who hit .306 in the CCAA, ranked 13th in the conference with 38 hits and complied an excellent .980 fielding percentage from her second base position. She had a 10-game hitting streak during CCAA play, and turned in three-hit games against CCAA postseason qualifiers Humboldt State and UC San Diego.

Holdridge, a fellow senior, was second on the Pioneers with a .333 batting average in CCAA play. She ranked second in the conference in doubles (11), 16th in hits (36), and tied for 16th with 20 RBI. She hit safely in 27 out of 36 games and had eight multi-hit games. Holdridge's most productive CCAA game was against Chico State, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and three doubles, tying a school record.

Way to go, Taryn and Sara!
