Open tryouts for all CSUEB students will take place on September 30 on the Pioneer Baseball Field from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Pioneers baseball had a historic season in 2012-13 under Coach Bob Ralston's leadership. They hit exactly .300 for the season and posted an impressive 2.91 ERA. Their season winning percentage of .640 is the second-best in school history for a Division II team and the best since 1968. Pioneer senior Charlie Sharrer was picked in the 26th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Saturday by the Chicago White Sox.

Any students interested in competing for the university's NCAA Division II intercollegiate baseball team for the 2014 season should plan to attend the open tryout. For more information, please contact the Pioneer coaching staff.
