'Tale of Two Ph.D.s' -- mother & daughter -- Wednesday evening for Women's History Month

Cal State East Bay History Professor Bridget Ford and her mother Bonnie Ford followed identical educational and career paths,

On Wednesday (March 5) at 6 p.m., mother and daughter will present "A Tale of Two Ph.Ds" to discuss their divergent experiences and generational insights on the impact of the women's movement in American life. Their talk is part of a celebration of Women's History Month for March, and will take place in the Biella Room of the University Library.

Both women earned their doctorates in history from UC Davis, 17 years apart. Bonnie Ford went on to teach at Sacramento City College, where she is professor emeritus.

This event is sponsored by the CSUEB History Department. The campus community is invited. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
