Contributing to “It’s Our University”
- November 24, 2008
Faculty and staff members daily contribute to a university that is on the move and making a difference in meeting the education, workforce and leadership needs of the region. By contributing to CSUEB's annual fundraising campaign, "It's Our University Campaign 2008," members of the campus community have an opportunity to further promote the educational environment at Cal State East Bay, said Bob Burt, vice president of University Advancement.
"Your personal commitment to excellence is proof that you believe in the difference education makes in the lives of all that receive it," Burt said. "We are asking that you show your ongoing support of higher education at CSUEB by participating in `It's Our University Campaign 2008.'"
Money raised during the campaign will benefit students through scholarships, technology and research assistance and support faculty and each college and department's key priorities.
"Making a charitable gift by Dec. 31 can help assure maximum benefit during the current academic year," Burt said.
Click here to make an online tax-deductible gift. Many faculty and staff members give through a monthly tax-deductible payroll deduction, which may be authorized by filling out and returning a form found here.
You may also designate your tax-deductible gift to the Leadership Fund of a program, department or college of your choice, Burt said.
He noted that the percentage of faculty and staff who contribute to the university has a "significant influence on others, particularly corporations and foundations, from whom we seek support. Your participation in `It's Our University Campaign 2008,' in any amount, will enhance this key indicator of internal support and commitment."
The University is extremely grateful to those who have already partnered with us by investing in `It's Our University Campaign 2008,'" he said. "For those joining our efforts to enhance our campus this year, thank you in advance for your support. Please know that any gift, no matter the size, is appreciated and makes a meaningful difference."
