Stephen Shmanske (Ph.D. 1982, UCLA) has been teaching economic theory and applied economics to graduate and undergraduate students at Cal State East Bay for more than 20 years. He has published two books and dozens of articles on subjects including traffic congestion, the economics of sports--especially golf--social security reform, the economics of education, life cycle happiness, and the meaning of equilibrium.

Anthony K. Lima (Ph.D. 1980, Stanford University) is professor of economics at Cal State East Bay. He is widely published in diverse fields including education, the economics of the wine industry, sports, and technology.
