The Pre-Licensure program consists of two years of prerequisite requirements and two and one half years of nursing courses. Students with an LVN license may apply to the LVN Pathway within the Pre-Licensure program. Prerequisite courses may be completed at Cal State East Bay or at another college or university. Nursing courses include both on and off campus experiences and incorporate simulation, skills lab, community engagement and clinical experiences in local hospitals, community health agencies, child care centers, and retirement communities. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to clinical facilities.
Cal State East Bay will offer a traditional MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) Program beginning Fall 2018.
Cal State East Bay’s Master of Science in Nursing program prepares you for advance practice as health educators, consultants, and administrative leaders. Throughout the program, you’ll broaden your knowledge and skills so that you can serve as an effective leader in various educational and health care settings.
