Absence & Time Reporting

Absence Reporting & Approvals

Each month, employees are required to report their absences or certify that they have not taken time off in a given month. Employees that do not have absences to report must report “No Leave Taken”. Absence entries must be reported no later than the last day of the pay period.

Managers and supervisors (others with approval delegation) must review and approve all absence entries for their direct reports by the date indicated on the Payroll Calendar. The approval deadline is identified with an alpha “X” on the Payroll Calendar.

Reporting Work Hours & Approvals

Staff and student hourly employees report their work hours by logging in to MYHR and accessing their timesheet.  All hourly employees are required to report worked hours each day they work, but no later than 11:59 pm on the last day of the pay period. Employees are locked out of their timesheets on the first day of the new pay period. Work hours that are not reported before the pay period ends must be reported by the supervisor/timekeeper. 

Employees' supervisors and designated approvers are required to review and approve work hours by the date indicated on the Payroll Calendar. Approvers are encouraged to review and approve worked hours on a weekly basis but no later than three (3) days after the last day of a pay period.
