1. The State Controller's Office (SCO) will mail your W-2 wage and tax statement no later than January 31st to the mailing address on file with Payroll Services as of December 15th. For instructions on how to view or update your address, refer to: How to View & Update Your Personal Info
2. The November pay period is considered to be the last pay period of the tax year and the December pay period (warrant issued on January 1, 20XX) is the first pay period of the new tax year.
3. W-2's that are returned by the post office are retained by Payroll Services. You may contact us after February 15th to inquire if your W-2 was returned to the campus due to an invalid mailing address.
In the event you lose your W-2, or require a duplicate copy for another reason, you can request one by completing a Request for Duplicate Wage and Tax Statement found on the State Controller's Office W-2 website.
Requests for duplicate W-2's are not processed by Payroll Services.
