Payment Methods There are several ways to pay your fees. The methods are as follows: Internet: Make online payments for registration, housing, Open University, emergency loan, graduation and orientation fees anytime at MyCSUEB. Payments made after 4:00 p.m. post the next business day.
Payment by ACH (Electronic check): There is no fee for using this method. Credit card using SMARTPAY through MyCSUEB. VISA is no longer accepted. The convenience fee for use of CASHNET SMARTPAY is 2.9% of the transaction amount rounded up to the next multiple of $.25. Please note: This fee is not collected by CSUEB and is non-refundable. U.S. Mail Please mail your check to: Accounting Office, WA 645 California State University, East Bay Hayward, CA 94542-3024 All checks must be written in English. Make your check payable to CSUEB. Please include your full name, Net ID number, current address, and phone number on the face of the check. A $25 fee will be assessed for each returned bank transaction. Allow at least 10 business days for mailed payments to reach the Accounting Office. Pay in Person: Go to the Cashier's Office in the first floor Lobby of Warren Hall or the Concord Academic Services Lobby. Always request a receipt for your records. Forms of Acceptable Payment Personal check: All checks must be written in English. Make your check payable CSUEB. Please include your full name, Net ID number, current address, and phone number on the face of the check. A $25 fee will be assessed for each returned bank transaction. Drop your check in the drop box at the Cashier's Office in the first floor Lobby of Warren Hall or the Concord Academic Services Lobby. Or mail to: Accounting Office, WA 645 California State University, East Bay Hayward, CA 94542-3024 Certified funds: Make cashier's check, money order, or other certified funds payable to CSUEB. Please include your full name, Net ID number, current address, and phone number. Credit card: You may use AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERCARD, or DISCOVER to pay your fees and/or any previous balance using SMARTPAY through MyCSUEB. VISA is no longer accepted. Cash: You must make cash payments at the Cashier's Office in the first floor Lobby of Warren Hall or the Concord Academic Services Lobby. Do not mail cash. Financial Aid Payment If you do not intend to attend classes, it is imperative you withdraw from the quarter or drop all classes before the quarter begins. If the financial aid is insufficient to pay all fees, the student is responsible for the difference. Students who remain enrolled and are ineligible for financial aid, will be responsible to pay their fees. Campus Approved Sponsors Registration fees for students who have a campus-approved sponsor (ex. California Veteran’s Fee Waiver, State of California Department of Rehabilitation, a CSUEB Presidential Scholarship) are not required to send payment by the published deadline. The sponsor’s document must be filed in the Accounting Office by the published deadline or your classes may be dropped. If you receive a notice reminding you to pay your fees, contact the Accounting Office immediately. You are responsible for paying your fees if your sponsor fails to pay when billed by the University. Installment Payment Plans California Residents California Resident students can defer State University Fees by completing a Contract for State University Fee Deferment. Hayward Campus Contract for State University Fee Deferment Concord only Campus Contract for State University Fee Deferment Online only Campus Contract for State University Fee Deferment The contract is not effective until the Accounting Office, (Warren Hall, Room 645), receives both of the following:
B. The first installment payment can be made online by ACH or credit card. During Late Registration (June 19 – July 7, 2008) the first installment payment is due when the form is submitted. Non-Resident or International Students Non-Resident or International students can defer Non-resident Tuition by completing a “Tuition Deferment Payment Plan” at the Accounting Office, WA 645. The first payment is California Resident fees. The Non-Resident Tuition, plus a 15% surcharge, is then equally divided in two payments due July 18, 2008 and Aug 18, 2008.
