Applying for On Campus Housing

Now that you have been admitted to California State University, East Bay, it is time to decide if living on campus is the right option for you. We believe that on-campus housing provides the support, academic environment and location necessary for students to be successful at California State University, East Bay. In addition, our talented staff members and student leaders are committed to working with you to create an experience that can enhance this journey in your life.

First Year Students

First-Year students will have the opportunity to live in our First-Year Suites. Each suite consists of 3 or 4 double and triple occupancy bedrooms, two bathrooms, a common living area, and a kitchenette. All students living on-campus are required to have a meal plan. First Year students can select the Red Plan that allows unlimited entries to the Dining Commons, Sunday through Saturday, or select the Black Plan that allows unlimited entry to the Dining Commons. Monday - Friday. The Red and Black Plans include Flex Dollars to use at any on-campus dining facility. 

For your convenience, our new process is completely online. Beginning at 3:00 pm on Monday, May 2, 2016 you can submit your Housing Application($40) and Contract with Initial Payment($500) for the 2016-2017 Academic Year(Fall 2016 - Spring 2017). Transfer Students

This marks the second year we provide the opportunity for transfer students to participate in a Living Learning Community. Our Living Learning Community will focus on your transition into our university.  Transfer students will have the opportunity to live in an apartment that has single, double, or triple occupancy bedrooms located in Pioneer Heights. Each of these apartments has a full kitchen, living room, and depending on the apartment type, 1 or 2 bathrooms.

 All students living on campus are required to have a meal plan. Transfer students can select the Pioneer Plan that comes with 60 entries to the Dining Commons for fall quarter. Residents may upgrade to the Red or Black plan at an additional cost. The Red Plan has unlimited entries to the Dining Commons, Sunday through Saturday, and the Black Plan has unlimited entries to the Dining Commons, Monday through Friday. The Pioneer, Red, and Black Plans all include Flex Dollars to use at any on-campus dining facility.

Returning Resident Process

We recommend that current students participate in the Returning Resident Process to reserve a space for the 2016-2017 academic year. Current residents will have priority in reserving a space for the Academic Year.

Beginning at 10:00 am on Monday, April 11, 2016 you can submit your Housing Application($40) and Contract with Initial Payment($500) for the 2016-2017 Academic Year(Fall 2016 - Spring 2017). Space Reservations

Space reservations are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, based upon receipt of all required documents and information and the appropriate payment. You are encouraged to complete and return your housing application and licensing information as early as possible. Confirmation letters are sent to those provided a space reservation for housing.

Wait List

Completing the application and contract does not guarantee you will receive housing. Applicants completing the licensing process, but not initially provided accommodations, are placed on a wait list and contacted as cancellations occur.
